The railwaymen made the perfect start when Lewis McKirnan lobbed the goalkeeper from 30 yards after just six minutes.
The lead was short-lived though with Aston levelling just two minutes later.
Aston went ahead from a free-kick just before the break.
Didcot levelled in the second half thanks to an own goal and they won the game with just over ten minutes remaining.

A tough game to finish the year but another three points.
It's been a good year for the development side. Their hard work as seen a number of players step up to make their debuts for the first team, including leading goalscorer James Pearson, who came off the bench for the first team on Saturday, to make his debut.
James Pearson joins Harry Pitman, Freddie Copping, and Alfie Rouse in making their first team debuts in 2024.
Fellow development players Fin Coles, McKenzie Hedges, who made his debut last year, Jesse Hedges and Jake Moss have all signed on for the first team this season from the development side.
The future is looking bright at Didcot Town. Well done to manager Chris Hedges, his backroom team and the players this season.
A huge thank you to Bradders for all his updates from the games this season.
