Didcot Town are back in league action tomorrow after a 2 week break as they host Kempston Rovers at the Loop Meadow Stadium, 3pm kick off.
The Railwaymen last met the Walnuts on the opening day of the season and unfortunately left Bedfordshire on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline, it proved to be a bit of a false dawn for Kempston who travel to Didcot on Saturday one place below the Railwaymen in the table so it promises to be a close and important contest for both teams.
For Didcot they've had 2 weeks to stew on Aylesbury Utd's stoppage time equaliser which denied Didcot their first 3 points of 2020, even so it was a much improved performance and result for Didcot giving them confidence ahead of the second part of the season. Manager Jamie Heapy has added to his squad this week by bringing in winger Jack Powell from Milton Utd and he will be hoping to make a 2nd debut in a Didcot shirt. Ollie Thomas is definitely out with a shin injury he picked up at North Leigh so Kieran Collins will almost certainly deputise at right back again while also missing are Josh Pin (hip) and Denilson Silva who is away this weekend. Jack Longford faces a late fitness test but we are hopeful he will be involved in some capacity.
This starts a busy week for the Railwaymen who after tomorrow's game will travel to high flying Halesowen Town on Tuesday evening (Halesowen play in the FA Trophy on Saturday and a draw in that game would effect Tuesday's scheduled game vs Didcot) before the Railwaymen are back at home the following Saturday when another high flying team in Berkhamsted make the journey to Oxfordshire. As ever there will be full updates from tomorrow's game and the following 2 games via our Twitter page (@didcottownfc) but if you can, try and get down to the Loop tomorrow for this key game in the league as we look to push up the table.
