The Fourths gave league leaders Pershore a run for their money with a spirited display and encouraging performances from a number of debutants.

The home side posted 199-9 from their 45 overs with Tom Goss once again providing the backbone of the innings with a sparkling knock of 85 that included 15 fours. Jordan Lewis and skipper Steve Pugh weighed in with 26 and 28 respectively.

The visitors reached 100 without loss before Paul Cowlard on his first appearance claimed two wickets with no runs added to the score.

On their senior debuts, under 13s Danny Mazgajczyk and Archie Fenn also bowled well – the latter picking up his first wicket in completing nine overs as Pershore were made to work hard until the 41st over for their six-wicket victory.
