Star of the show was Dave Huntbatch, who blazed 114 as Droitwich rattled up 261-5 in their 50 overs with James King contibuting an excellent 74.

Martin Woodward belied his age once more to deliver another 17 overs but it was another spinner who so nearly pinched the win for the visitors as Ash Walton weighed in with 6-43.

The Seconds will be seeking to maintain momentum on Saturday against Oldswinford before their possible top of the table clash with promotion rivals Belbroughton next weekend.
