After losing its first game against much more experienced Wharton A, in the first game of the season for the Blue Devils, Duke was able to regroup and record a 25x12 win against Wharton B.

Wharton B started ahead scoring 12x0 in the first 10 minutes of the game, but Nick Zwemer scored his first try still in the first half, giving hopes of a turnaround. With 4 more tries and impressive tackles, Duke Grad Rugby recorded it first in of the 2016-2017 season.

Later on Saturday, Duke Grad lost its game against CBS and on Sunday tied 14-14 with Wharton B in a friendly sevens match.

Duke Grad Rugby focuses now on Southern Pines Division 4 game next Saturday, October 8.
