So on a glorious sunny day our 12's took to the pitch as 11's once more.
Playing in the Dulais Valley Lions Kit the boys and girls all looked fab.
12 teams in total registered, meaning three groups of 4. We were grouped with Cwmavon, Trebanos and the newly formed Dragons.

First up Trebanos - having our game against them cancelled in the season we had no idea of our form against them. After very little training all summer and not playing a game since early May we started well. Final Score, a win to us 3-0.
Next - Cwmavon, after winning both games in the season we expected to win again. they are always a tough team to play against and every try is hard fought. Final score, a win to us 1-0
Next - Dragons, having only formed at the end of last season they are a new team just starting to come together. We played them once and won comfortably but you never know what will happen. They were a much stronger team and it was a really good game. We had one try disallowed but went on to win 2-1.
Winning all three games took us the the Semi Finals, an anxious wait to see who we would be drawn against. Abercrave. We started like we were all asleep and it showed, letting them through to score tries that we should have stopped. Second half was a much better half, but a little to late and we lost 5-3.
But you can never keep a team like ours down and we went into our final game - the third place play off feeling happier. It showed the team had fun and scored try after try. Winning 6-3

For our first fixtures of the season they can all be proud we played 5 games and won 4 scoring 14 tries an only conceding 9, so well done.

We picked up one or two injuries so hopefully the boys will recover quickly.
