This was a game with a distinct end of season feel, with the result not likely to determine either side's fortunes, and so it proved. It took seven minutes for the first shot and then Amadou Tangara comfortably saved from George Essuman.

Margate lost their leading scorer, Jordan Chiedozie,inside the opening fifteen minutes when he limped off having tried to shake off an earlier knock but still looked the more likely to score, Jay May firing straight at Amadou Tangara after a mistake by Ibrahim Kargbo.

Dulwich finally exerted some pressure on the visitors after half an hour, with Nyren Clunis just failing to get his head on a cross and Reise Allassani seeing his effort deflected just wide, whilst Clunis also fired over after good play from Ashley Carew and Allassani.

The second half meandered along until the 61st minute when a Gavin Tomlin cross seemed certain to be headed home by fellow substitute, Dipo Akinyemi, but visiting keeper Lenny Pidgeley sprang across his goal to beat it out.

Five minutes later the visitors took the lead. A free kick into the box from Collin was headed home by George Essuman, who got the better of Michael Chambers.

Dulwich struggled to exert any pressure but managed to level the scores ten minutes from time. Ashley Carew delivered a corner that eventually feel to M|Michael Chambers who joyfully volleyed home from close range.

With four minutes remaining the visitors were convinced they had scored again. A defensive mistake left substitute Syd Sollis one on one with Tangara. He lifted the ball over the Hamlet keeper but Rickie Hayles chased the ball and, despite Margate protests, he was adjudged to have cleared the ball before it crossed the line.
