A much changed Hamlet line up raced into a three goal half time lead, with two goals from Muhammadu Faal and one from Nana Boakye-Yiadom, with Gavin Tomlin adding a late fourth to seal the win.
The Hamlet gave regular number one Preston Edwards a rare night off, instead giving a debut to Amadou Tangara, who was last seen at Champion Hill playing for Grays Athletic last season. There wre also places on the bench for Dereece Thompson and Kiki Oshilaja.
Dulwich started brightly, with the returning Nathan Green immediately back in his stride with some trademark barnstorming runs down the left flank. From one, visiting keeper George Kamurasi did well to cut out his low cross, but within a minute he was beaten low to his right by a fine strike from 20 yards by Muhammadu Faal that gave Dulwich a 10th minute lead.
Greenwich were not seen as an attacking threat until almost 20 minutes and then Tangara comfortably fielded an effort from Ali Fuseini but Dulwich soon resumed their dominance. Muhammadu Faal nhad a low effort well saved and a Kenny Beaney effort was deflected wide. It was then the turn of Nathan Green to fire just wide before Dulwich doubled their lead in the 35th minute.
The goal was scored by Nana Boakye-Yiadom who finished low to the keeper's right but was created by an exquisite through pass from Ashley Carew that was threaded through the Borough defence. The scorer then missed another chance when well placed before Muhammadu Faal added a third in the 45th minute as he coolly finished off another precise passing movement.
Half Time 3-0
Greenwich Borough introduced the lively Francis Babalola at half time and he reduced the arrears in the 49th minute. He received a through ball and, as the Dulwich defence stopped due to the Assistant's flag being raised, he rounded Tangara to score. ||Despite Dulwich complaints, the goal stood.
The visitors sensed they could still get back in the game but couldn't take advantage of their dominance with a further goal as Ryan King-Elliott saw a good cross cut out and Babalola then wasted a good chance, as did Elliott-King when he fired straighta Tangara after a quick break..
Gradually Dulwich began to get back on top and they added a fourth goal with six minutes remaining. Gavin Tomlin, making his first appearance since August, played the ball wide to the left to Nana Boakye-Yiadom who then returned the ball inside to Tomlin to finish past the advancing keeper.
With the result not in doubt, there was still time for Tangara to produce a fine save low to his left from another strike by King-Elliott.
Final Score 4-1
