With the transfer window for non-league clubs coming to a close this week, the Hamlet were able to bring in another face before the deadline with the arrival of Conor Lawless.
21-year-old Conor is a midfielder on the books of Championship side Luton Town, having been with the Hatters since 2021. Conor has already had experience of the National League South this season, having just completed a loan spell with Farnborough, where he made five league appearances.
Conor came through the youth ranks at Reading, and made his senior debut for the side as a second-half substitute in an FA Cup Third Round tie away, ironically, to Luton in January 2021. This would be his only first-team appearance for the Royals before being released that summer.
The midfielder arrives having had a very successful week, as the Luton Development Squad tasted county cup success on Tuesday night, scoring the first goal in a 6-2 win over Biggleswade in the Bedfordshire Senior Cup final at Kenilworth Road.
Conor has been given the number 4 shirt by Hakan Hayrettin.
Welcome to Champion Hill Conor!
