Dulwich Hamlet Football Club is pleased to launch our playing kit for the upcoming 2022 23 season.

This season marks the ten year anniversary of our men’s team becoming Isthmian Division One South Champions on the last day of the season, after drawing against Burgess Hill at Champion Hill.

To mark the occasion, this year’s home strip features a similar pink and blue "quarter" design as the shirt worn during the 2012-13 season by the likes of Hamlet legends Ehrun Oztumer, Peter Adeniyi, Ethan Pinnock and Nyren Clunis.

The Home kit will be first worn this Tuesday, 12 July 2022, when Sutton United visit Champion Hill for our men's team first home pre-season fixture (kick off at 7.30pm).

Ticket information can be found here.

You will be able to see our women's team wearing the new kit, for the first time, when they commence their pre-season fixtures away to Chichester & Selsey on Sunday 24 July 2022. Their full pre-season fixtures can be found here.

Tomorrow the men’s team travel to Brighton for their first pre-season fixture against Whitehawk FC, kick off at 3pm (for those of you who would like to make a full day of it you can also catch our new B team in action also in Brighton at 12pm at the Stanley Deason Leisure Centre against Moneyfields). Those supporters travelling to the Whitehawk game will get the opportunity to see our new away kit worn for the first time on the pitch.

The away kit design is inspired by our friendship with Hamburg club, Altona 93 and features their famous club colours or Black, White and Red.

Altona 93 was formed the same year as Dulwich Hamlet (1893) and both clubs have had a close friendship ever since, Dulwich fan, the late Mishi ‘Dulwich’ Morath, attended a game at their stadium and got talking to Altona 93 fan Jan Stover. Since this meeting, the friendship has grown amongst both fanbases resulting in resurrecting of fixtures between both clubs in 2015. Dulwich first played Altona 93 in a pre-season European tour in 1925, the last fixture between both clubs saw our men’s team traveling to Hamburg in July 2018.

Mirja Grupe, Altona 93 Secretary commented “Its nearly 8 years, when I first visited Champion Hill and met so many wonderful people. Over the last years the friendship became more and more intense, and we really celebrated an outstanding anniversary in 2018. Sometimes I feel a bit melancholic when I think of Mishi, without whom this friendship probably wouldn't exist. I feel deeply connected with our friends and I don't want to miss the friendship anymore. And it´s way more than about football. Lots of love from Altona.”

Supporters will be excited to know that plans and fundraising has already commenced for future tours, with Altona planning to visit London in July 2023.

If you are interested in getting involved in helping to organise future tours and assist with fundraising please contact the Club.
