Experienced Adrian Clifton becomes the fifth new signing for Hakan and Terry

Adrian Clifton has become Hakan Hayrettin’s fifth signing of the summer, and our first new striker.

The 34-year-old ended last season with Hampton and Richmond Borough on loan from Maidenhead United, and scored a memorable goal against the Hamlet in March.

The Montserrat international, who has six goals in 17 games for his country, has enjoyed three spells with Maidenhead down the years, and has also played for the likes of Bromley and Dagenham & Redbridge. He has also played in the Isthmian Premier with Staines Town.

Adrian gave us his thoughts on the move

“I’m really pleased to have joined such an historic club. Dulwich is a club I’ve always been aware of and I know the support is incredible and there is a strong community feel.”

“I’m looking forward to being part of the project and I feel this is the perfect time for me to join. I’ve known Hakan for a long time, we’re both East London boys, and we’ve spoken about me joining him over the years, and I’m glad I can now do so.”

“What appealed to me was working for Hak, he likes to win things. I’ve not won anything yet I’m terms of a league title in my career, so I want to win the Isthmian Premier and return the club to where it belongs.”

“I feel I lead the line well, either on my own or with a strike partner, I’m a good focal point, and happy with balls in the air or to feet and I always feel I can score goals. I also try and be a leader on the pitch, and that is what this club needs that perhaps it didn’t have last season.“

His new manager added, “For Adrian, it was about achievement, even at his age and wanting a title. I have always liked him, his work ethic is phenomenal. He is a leader of men.”

“Whenever I have seen him play, he always gives 100% and that experience will be invaluable to us this season.”
