Paul Barnes has made his first signing since becoming permanent manager by bringing in forward Omari Hibbert.
The 32-year-old will go straight into the squad for tonight's game with Worthing, and sees him reunite with a manager he played for at Greenwich Borough.
Hibbert was actually once on the books of the Hamlet, joining the club just after our promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division in 2013, training alongside the likes of Ethan Pinnock, Erhun Oztumer and Nyren Clunis, but he did not make a first team appearance.
Omari has also appeared for the likes of Tooting & Mitcham, Carshalton Athletic, East Thurrock United and Whyteleafe during his career, and most recently played for Sevenoaks Town, where he netted six times in 15 appearances, including four in 11 this campaign. He is also a Hamlet fan, and lives locally.
On Omari signing, Paul Barnes said, "He is a lad I know well, a great person to have around the place with a great character. I know what he's about and will be an excellent addition to our squad. He is someone who will always be supportive of his teammates, provides a different dimension to our attack and I am delighted to have brought him in and can't wait to work with him again."
Omari will wear the number 17 shirt vacated by Ibby Akanbi, and we wish him all the best.
