Guyana international Anthony Jeffrey is the latest recruit to arrive at Champion Hill, joining the Hamlet from Billericay Town.
The 28-year-old, capped seven times for his country, scored three goals in 32 league appearances for the Blues last season, as they finished 10th in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
A former Arsenal youngster, Anthony has plenty of non-league experience, having turned out for the likes of Boreham Wood, Welling United, Concord Rangers, Forest Green Rovers and Sutton United in the early years of his senior carer.
He had a successful spell with Dover Athletic between 2017 and 2020, playing 68 times in the league for the Whites during that time, before earning a move to Wrexham. His time with the Welsh side was marred by a torn groin, before tearing his thigh in his first training session at next club Barnet.
This left him contemplating retirement, but joined Billericay in the spring of 2022, and whilst he could not save them from relegation, he was given the opportunity of getting a full season under his belt in 2022-23.
Anthony made his international debut in 2019, playing against Belize in the CONCACAF Nations League, before being called up to the country's Gold Cup squad that summer, appearing against the USA, Panama and Trinidad & Tobago.
I’m delighted to be here," said Anthony, "it’s a club that I’ve looked at for a long time, and one that shouldn’t be in the Isthmian Premier. The club has a fanbase that I’ve admired for a long time, and it’s a place I’ve always thought I would always enjoy playing at and I am grateful for the opportunity."
"I’ve spoken to a few players who have been here in the past and they all told me to come and experience it, don’t even consider anywhere else if they want you because you will enjoy it, the fans will enjoy watching you, and you’ll have a great year."
"Hak and Terry are winners, and so am I, so it was as simple as that when we spoke. I’m done with just floating around in my career, now is the time to win a title, and I want winning to be the only thing on the table this year."
"They are building a real squad, which is no doubt sending ripples through the league, which I love, I don’t like being the underdog, I want us to be top of the tree, I want teams to look at us and say, ‘we don’t want to play Dulwich this week or next week, or in the winter, or in the summer, or at home, or away,’ I want them to fear playing us.”
"I hope the fans will see how passionate I am, I am quick and like to beat players and take them on and try and be exciting on the pitch, and hopefully the fans will enjoy that. I’m an honest player, I will always give 100% with everything I do and I hope they find me to be approachable too and a good ambassador for the club."
“Anthony actually approached me about coming and wanted to be part of the rebuilding and be part of the cultural change that we are instilling in the dressing room,” added Hakan.
“He wants to be at a football club that he feels can achieve things, and once we spoke about the direction we wanted to take Dulwich, he felt it was no-brainer to sign.”
“He has incredible pace, we’ve got to keep him fit and on his toes and I am sure he will do very well for the club.”
