Reece was 12 years old when he began his rugby career at Sunderland RFC, moving to City in 2014 whilst he was also playing for Durham School. Reece made his mark on the pitch as a key member of the school 7s squad which was unbeaten for 4 consecutive years.

A talented sportsman, Reece also excelled at boxing but, faced with a choice, he decided to focus on rugby. As well as success at club level, he has also represented County Durham and been a member of the Falcons Academy to U18. However, his proudest moment to date has been representing England at U16 level in 2016. Reece remained a City boy at heart and played his first Senior game at the start of the 2018-19 season, beating Barnard Castle 15-22 and securing his place in the squad ever since.
