Thursday 10th October 2019
Welfare Park
19:30 kick-off

Setting The Scene:

Following last week's League Cup defeat at Northallerton Town, the Colliers must beat both Newton Aycliffe and West Auckland Town to qualify for the knockout stage.

Aycliffe, meanwhile, have only played one game in the League Cup (a defeat to West Auckland Town) and they're likely to need to win all three of their remaining games to qualify.

A draw tonight wouldn't be ideal for either side.

The visitors come into tonight's game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at Hebburn Town, but they claimed a 2-1 win against Whitley Bay prior to that.

Team news:

Jack Brown has signed for the Colliers from Chester-le-Street Town, but he is illegible to play in the League Cup.

Liam Adamson will return to the squad having spend the last two weeks in Florida, while Jak Ashton is likely to feature before missing Saturday's game away to Brandon United.

Last time out (Newton Aycliffe):

Newton Aycliffe were beaten 2-1 away to Hebburn Town on Saturday afternoon.

Ben Dibb-Fuller put Hebburn ahead halfway through the first half, and their lead was doubled through a Graeme Armstrong penalty.

Dean Thexton did half the deficit for Newton Aycliffe, but they failed to find an equaliser and Hebburn took the points.

Familiar faces:

Ethan Wood is now playing for Newton Aycliffe having signed from the Colliers last season.

His dad David is still on our committee.

Tickets:

Admission tonight is priced at £5 for adults and £2 for concessions. Admission is FREE for under-16s!

Because it's a cup game, season tickets will not be valid for tonight's game.

Programme:

Our programme will be available on the gate for £1.50! Team sheets will be available free of charge.

Remember, kick-off is at 19:30.
