The Reserves kick-off proceedings on Monday 22 July before the First team take centre-stage.
The Stiffs play host to Humberside Police (7pm) having resumed training last week (pictured). The early start is to allow a new-look side to hopefully bed-in early given that alongside five or six of last season’s core there is a crop of new faces, most lured to Low Farm by Brad Bowden’s elevation to the Stiffs management set-up.
The First Team return to training on Tuesday, 2 July and will hold two sessions a week, one at Low Farm and Thursdays at East Park. Their first pre-season fixture comes the night after the Stiffs’ game, on Tuesday 23 July. It should give Danny Blount and Craig Foster chance to cast an eye over the bulk of their new charges when their team take on ER County League Premier Division side Harchester United at Low Farm (7pm).
On Saturday 27 July, Blount takes his team to HPL Premier Division team, Walkington AFC (2pm).
Wednesday 30 July sees the locals make the trip to another HPL Premier Division side, Hornsea Town (6.30pm), before then travelling to Beverley to play Hodgson’s from ER County League Division 1 on Saturday, 3 August (2pm).
The Eastenders round off their schedule with a home game against a third HPL Premier Division side when they host Westella & Willerby on Friday 9 August (7pm).
Further dates in the Reserves’ pre-season schedule will be posted in due course.
The club is again on the look-out for various sponsors to help them through the coming campaign. In particular, the Reserves are in need of a new kit sponsor. Elsewhere, pitch-side advertising boards are up for grabs, while match and player sponsorship for the season is again available.
