The most exciting first period ever as we held Darlo to 0 points must be a first somewhere but the scorer was able to go down Beverly Way pick up fish and chips and eat them before we scored as well. Rich the Beast was dominating inside the key but only hit 1 from 4 frees as we led 11-0 at the break. Finally after 12 minutes Darlo scored but we soon began to find the basket ourselves with Jack and Scott scoring and Sam finally scored driving the baseline in the 3rd minute. Rich again found good space inside and we led 28 - 8 at the half. We then forgot what our plan was at the start of the third period taking shots early turning ball over so a rollicking was delivered as Darlo closed the gap to 28-16 after 3 minutes. Time out plan was again laid out and guess what we began scoring with Sam hitting 9 points but we were being exposed on the left side with Lewin winning the boards but change of players and workrate improved in defence and with Jack scoring late on we finished the period 45-24 up. Dan hit 2 bank shots as he moved into unknown territory for him on the baseline in attack so oxygen tanks were provided and extra life insurance was provided. Sam was now intercepting passes driving to the hoop and have a great game before leaving. Near the end he was substituted so the players and spectators could give him a round of applause with tissues provided for his mum. Both sides played game in good spirit and Jordan Bell who had been told lots of times to take the right shot launched a long range missile to finish the scoring with a three while Darlo then had a go and like most of their shooting on the night it was awful.
