Last night we had the final net session of the preseason at the Oval. It was a fantastic turnout with 13 members turning up to blow the remaining cobwebs away and sharpen up their skills ahead of tour and the first match at Provender.

Not everything went completely to plan however, with Razzak continuing his early season rustiness, maintaining he has a severe case of the 'yips'. It remains to be seen if his batting is going to save his place in the team! John Sturt, flushed from recent parenthood, showed his usual enthusiasm and bought himself a couple of wickets to boot.

Adrian Tickridge-Day nearly became the first major injury of the season with a mistimed pull to leg causing his left shoulder to nearly pop out of its socket! We're assured this is a recurring injury, so have told the lawyers to stand down.

All looks set for a great season to come, and with tour kicking off next Saturday everything is lining up nicely.
