The match day programme had an overhaul throughout the summer with new ideas supplemented towards it, making the programme better than ever before.
"The Eagles Press" as the programme will now be known will be packed with the highest quality content from the club's media team. Featuring exclusive interviews with players and club members, match reports, previews, in-depth analysis of opponents and much more.
New ideas include items such as 'Teammates' where we ask a different Eccleshill United player each week personality questions, which they then reply to with a player that best suits the topic from the current squad. For example, a player may get asked who is the funniest, and they then answer with an Eagles player.
Moreover, have you ever wondered what Charlie Flaherty's day job is? Or what car Jonny Irving drives? Maybe you want to know what Aran Basi's favourite food is? Well, now you can, via the A-Z questions in the match day programme!
We've got everyone covered, from Matt Storr and Carlton Pownall to Chris Lever and Antony Brown; every player in the first-team (like the teammate's section) will get one game where they do the A-Z quiz.
The quiz is a fun way to get to know the players and is a simple format, there are 26 questions, all related to each letter of the alphabet. For example, 'A' is Achievements (key word) and the question for the player is 'What is your greatest achievement?' the player's answer will be below the question! We do this (key word and question) for every letter in the alphabet.
The media team at Eccleshill United is driven to bring the clubs fans as much content as possible, and we believe it's right for the great fans to receive thoughts and reactions of the players and staff before and after the games.
Speaking about the programme re-launch, one of Eccleshill United's Media Team members, Danial Ahmed said the following:
"Following the success of the lads on the pitch last season, myself and Matty decided we wanted to help develop the club further off the pitch more too. The main area we wanted to focus on was the matchday programme, and a lot of thought, consideration, and planning has gone into The Eagles Press. We hope the fans and players appreciate the new look programmed, and enjoy reading them as much as we will enjoy creating them!"
Therefore, we will have exclusive interviews in the revamped match programme, not just with the players and staff, but also with the chairman! There will be a section for the thoughts of the chairman and club captain.
It's all fun and games off the pitch with things such as quizzes and interviews, but what about on the pitch? Again, we have you covered, we will go in great depth with our full match reports and match previews for every single game.
Also, we will have the NCEL Premier table, updated and printed in the match programme. Furthermore, we will also have detailed facts, opinions, and stats on our future opponents, providing content for both the home and visiting support.
You can get all this great content for just £1 at the turnstile when you enter the Mitton Group Stadium starting from this Saturday's derby day game with Thackley.
Giving his thoughts on The Eagles Press, Media Team member, Matthew Wilkinson had the following to say:
"Lots of work has gone into the programme over Pre-Season with countless hours behind the scenes being spent on improving this element of the club, so we hope you enjoy reading them! There really is something for everyone in them and we will aim for them to be as informative and fun as possible. Please let us know your thoughts once you get your hands on one and feel free to give us any ideas you would like to see added down the line!"
