The future is bright

The result might not have been what the gaffer and lads wanted today.....
But you can see a glimpse into what Lee is wanting to achieve and that is preparing the academy lads for a future in football with any club, pro or semi pro.
Modern football demands being comfortable on the ball, playing out from the back, pressing in numbers when a trigger is activated etc.
Many teams, even in professional leagues are guilty of playing the percentages.
Phil Parkinson's Wrexham, Steve Evans at Stevenage and within our own league, Thackley for example push it forward no matter how pretty it looks. Elbows out, using brawn over elegance... The good 'ole hoof ball but it is old and going the way of the dodo.
It certainly wins you a game, all three teams are flying high and achieved promotions recently.
But that style will only get you so far and certainly isn't pleasing to the eye.
Modern football has evolved in all aspects of playing, training and attitudes.
Pro Elite Woodkirk are preparing these young boys and girls for the bigger picture, the foundation to potentially slot into any league with any club.
Show the right attitude and ability and the world is potentially at your feet.
If you or anyone you know are under the age of 16 (boy or girl) and want the support of knowledgeable coaching with fantastic facilities, head over to
