The attacking midfielder is set to miss 6-8 weeks of action due to a hairline fracture.

As we reported on Twitter last night, unfortunately, Tom Rose has suffered a hairline fracture during the recent 3-0 win over Rossington Main.

The attacking midfielder took the impact on a tackle during the second half and was quickly substituted.

Rose has played an integral role in Sean Regan's squad since transferring from Yorkshire Amateurs, with his ability on the ball and an eye for a pass, he has quickly made an impact for the Eagles.

Speaking about the injury, Rose said: " I have a hairline fracture to the fibula bone, with it only being a small fracture I'm not in a cast or a boot, however, I still need crutches to get about.

"The doctors have advised me not to play football for 6-8 weeks and rest as much as possible. I am completely gutted, to be honest, and will miss playing, but I am looking forward to getting back into it already."

Rose has received an outpouring of well wishes from the NCEL community, with people both involved with the club and for other teams across the league.

The news adds to Sean Regan's injury list with Anil Singh currently unable to play and worries about both Matt Stor and Carlton Pownall.

Everybody at Eccleshill United would like to wish Rose a speedy recovery from the injury.
