Eccleshill United will host local neighbours Bradford City tomorrow night at the Mitton Group Stadium. This will be the second friendly in three years between the Eagles and the Bantams, with the previous game taking place in 2017. It was the Football League side who won that game - Dan Pybus (2) and Tyrell Robinson's goals led City to a 3-0 victory.

Matthew Stor, Jonny Irving and Chris Lever are the only remaining Eccleshill United players who played in that match. With Bradford City's starting eleven on the day still bolstering Shay McCartan - the only remaining player from the (City) starters.

The Eagles come into the game off the back of a four-nil victory over Harrogate Railway. Early goals from Lever and Irving; topped off by Ndlovu and a trialist helped Eccleshill United to that win. It was the same game that saw the first managerial overlook in Lee Elam's tenure. Elam has adapted a patient passing style of football, one that could be compared to the visitors' style of play under Stuart McCall.

Bradford City's last game was only yesterday. The Bantams played Liverpool in the DarbyRimmerFoundation Charity game. City lost the game 3-1, however, the result was very much secondary to the main reason for the game. The wholesome reason was to raise money and support for the DarbyRimmer MND Foundation set up by Bradford City legend Stephen Darby, and ex-soldier Chris Rimmer, who both sadly live with the Motor Neurone Disease.

Bradford City's game prior to the charity match was a win over Brighouse Town, where Gary Bowyer fielded a team of trialists including Andy Taylor, Chris Taylor and Nortei Nortey. It is unsure what side Bowyer will play in tomorrow night's game. However, he has many options after bolstering his squad with the acquisitions of high-level players such as James Vaughan and Clayton Donaldson. New signing Zeli Ismail has played no part in Pre-Season as of yet, therefore he may make an appearance on Tuesday night.

The Eagles have also bolstered their squad recently, after the signing of former Bradford City player Kesi Omolokun was announced. This was in the limelight alongside the signings of Tyler Marsh, Jacob Buchanan and Bradley Emmerson. Furthermore, the game will mark Aran Basi's first as officially the new captain.

Played for both: As mentioned, Eccleshill United welcomed former Bantam, Kesi Omolokun to the club. However, he isn't the first player who has played for both sides; James Hanson and Nahki Wells are the more well-known players who have played for both. Back in the 2012-13 season, Bradford City reached the League Two Play-Off Final and the League Cup Final with a pair of top strikers - in Wells and Hanson. Who both started their English careers at the Mitton Group Stadium.

In the same Bradford City season, the then third-choice goalkeeper, Jack Bentley, is now also an Eagle. Bentley would have been seen doing the warm-up before games with Jon McLaughlin and Matt Duke. His one-game of fame came after the League Cup final when Duke got sent off, this made way for Bentley to be on the bench in the next game.

With both Eccleshill United and Bradford City being based in the same city, and Bradford City being a professional club - it is a guarantee that there will be a lot of links to both teams from Eccleshill United's part. With players Ryan Hargreaves and Tyler Marsh both avid Bradford City fans. Plenty of the club's officials are also Bantams. Including club owners Sally Smith-Butler and Jay Butler, who are also well-respected sponsors at Valley Parade.

Therefore, it should make for a great game of local football!
