Blues knock holders out of Memorial Trophy, Side and West Essex also through

Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy First Round
Barking 4 Clapton 2

Two Ashley Wackers-Kyriacou goals helped see the Blues get past Clapton in the first round of the Memorial Trophy at Mayesbrook Park. James Jaconelli and Max Watters grabbed Barking's other goals and it sees them progress through to the next round of the tournament, knocking out last year's winners in the process, despite a late rally from the Ton's through Johny Ashman and Jamie Lyndon.

Basildon United 2 Barkingside 3
The Bees succumbed to Barkingside at The Hive to go out of this season's Memorial Trophy at the first hurdle. The visitors went behind when Reece Tranter netted the hosts opener in the third minute Side fought back to lead 2-1 before Nathan Dewberry levelled to tie up the once again. But the Cricklefield side netted a winner to progress through to Round Two.

London Bari 0 West Essex 0 (West Essex won 5-4 on penalties)
West Essex win through to the next round of the Memorial Trophy after a penalty shootout win against ten man Bari at the Old Spotted Dog. A fairly drab first half made way for a more exciting second period and saw the hosts reduced to ten men just past the hour after a kick out, however despite chances towards the end of the game no goals were forthcoming and so it went to the dreaded spot kicks, for which the visitors prevailed.

Stansted P-P Ilford
The match scheduled to take place at Hargrave Park was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
