The 36-year-old played semi-professional for Corinthian Casuals, Croydon FC, and Colliers Wood before stopping at 33 when he first stepped into management at Old Boys Clapham FC who play in Surrey Intermediate Division 2.
Dean's gained valuable experience there in the past 2 seasons and is excited now to take the next step and progression coming to Farleigh.
Dean is currently undertaking his UEFA B coaching license.
Dean is also no stranger to Farleigh. He has worked full time as a football coach for 8 years at our partner LPA Academy as a senior head coach where he coaches 4-16 year olds including coaching/managing Farleigh Rovers youth teams.
Asked about his new role, Dean said "I’m looking forward to making new memories with Farleigh and creating a new chapter in the club's history.
It’s an exciting opportunity to continue my coaching/managing pathway & we look forward to a successful season"
Dean will be assisted this season by Nathan Hull, who at the end of last season made the difficult decision to stop playing. But, while one door closes, another opens and we are delighted he will be continuing with Farleigh this season and beyond.
Lastly, but by no means least, we are also pleased that physio Rob Mintrim is also staying on for the forthcoming season. Having joined us 18 months ago, he is not just a great physio, but helping hand on match days assisting the team.
Pre-season training began this week, with 2 solid sessions put in. We continue that next week, ahead of the first friendly on Saturday 20th v Croydon FC.
