LONG-SERVING defender Matt Bourne was selected in the KentOnline team-of-the-week.

Bourne, 30, made the side after his performance in Faversham's goalless draw at play-off chasing Lewes on Saturday.

It is the third week in a row one of the Lilywhites' players has made the team after Liam King was picked last week and Jamie Maxted was picked the week before that.

Former Dover Athletic, Chatham Town, Sittingbourne and Folkestone Invicta man Bourne is joined by ex-Town keeper Simon Overland, who makes the side, despite Sittingbourne's 3-0 defeat against Whyteleafe. Overland pipped Faversham stopper Will Godmon to the place between the sticks.

Bourne last scored for Town in the 3-0 home win over East Grinstead Town on March 25. He volleyed home a Renford Tenyue as two of Faversham's longest-serving players in the current squad combined.

In the 2012/13 Ryman South Play-off Semi-Final, Bourne scored two goals in quick succession to guide the Lilywhites to a 3-0 win at home to Hythe Town.

Bourne was making his 313th club appearance for Faversham on Saturday and remains the player with the most club appearances since the club's reformation in 2005.

At this stage, only Ashley Brown and David Botterill join Bourne in making 250+ club appearances.

The Lilywhites will visit Godalming Town on Saturday.
