Millers pegged back late...

Feckenham had to settle for a disappointing draw on Saturday at home to Balsall & Berkswell, after a late 88th minute equaliser for the Hornets denied The Millers their 2nd victory of the season.

On a hard pitch in windy conditions, and for the second time this season the Millers would take some time to get going, and would again have to come from behind when after 15 minutes some slack defending allowed striker Erlind Tata with a one-on-one with 'keeper Adam Watson at the Village Green end, a fine strike found the top corner to put the visitors ahead.

This served as a wake-up call for Feckenham, who started to wake from the slumber and start to create some opportunities of their own to find a way back into the game.

The leveller came on 35 minutes, courtesy of a slip up in the Balsall Backline, when a misplaced back pass set Will Skelton free, his fine finish heading over the keeper and into the back of the net.

HT: 1-1

Feckenham would come out all guns blazing at the start of the second half, and took a deserved lead 3 minutes in. Skelton would turn provider this time, when his strength and trickery would see him into the penalty area, his low cross to the back post was met by Brooklyn Smith making his first start for The Millers, who finished smartly from close-range to put the Millers infront.

The 2nd half would be heavily contested in the middle of midfield, with The Millers getting into some good areas but struggling to find that final ball or finish to put daylight between the sides.

Wasted opportunities would come back to haunt the Millers 2 minutes from time, when a long ball over the back would bounce awkwardly for keeper Watson, who lost out on his arial battle with Lucas Van Spelde, who headed the ball into the unguarded net.

The Millers will look to bounce back from this weeks disappointment, with their third Home game of the season against Birmingham Tigers this Saturday (KO 3pm).
