In fulfilling the UN Convention on children’s rights, The FA takes it role as the guardian of the game at all levels very seriously. It is committed to using the power of football to build a better future.

The FA accepts its legal and moral responsibility and recognises the need to bring Child Protection issues into the open in order to provide a safe football environment.

Feeder requires all Academy Coaches and Academy Team Officials to have attended a 3 hour F.A Child Protection Work Shop, where the F.A policy on Child Protection is to:
•Provide a safe and enjoyable environment in which football is played.
•Raise the awareness of child protection in the game at all levels through promotional materials, workshops and resources.
•Manage allegations and concerns about poor practice and possible abuse through The FA's case management system.
•Develop and maintain a team of trainers, mentors and tutors to delivery and monitor the child protection training program to meet the needs of all people involved with young people in the game.
•Manage a rolling programme of CRB Enhanced Disclosures through The FA CRB Unit for those in football with access to young people.
•Promote the ethics and high standards throughout the program.
•Demonstrate and promote the best practice.
