FFC fielded a close to full strength side in this friendly down the A47 at Hockering, a side who will be joining us in Division 4 next season. With the gaffer experimenting several players in new postions, Alex Fulcher started the game at right back with skipper Graeme Lockwood at centre back, and Kev Dorling facing his Saturday teammates from left back. Mark Bale started in midfield alongside new signing James Goodwin, and fellow new boy Danny Bunn hoped to continue his early good form up top.

Liam Atkins wasted no time at all giving FFC the lead after just 5 minutes, slotting home after cutting in from the left. Hockering equalised soon after but in the 10th minute a long range James Goodwin cross-shot evaded everyone in crept in the far corner. The greens then ran riot with further goals from Liam Atkins, James Buckingham and a Danny Bunn brace putting them 6-1 up. The home side got one back on the brink of half time when the referee overruled the linesman's flag.

2 changes at the break for Felthorpe seemed to throw the visitors off their stride, With Hockering getting 2 early goals following some questionable defending. Half time sub George Baker soon had the ball in the net, beating the offside trap to restore the comfortable lead, and the second half was an end to end affair that would have been great for the neutrals, with both sides netting regularly. When James Buckingham was felled in the Hockering box, Charlie Atkins stepped up to rifle the spot kick to the keepers right. Baker had his second of the night soon after. Bunn rounded off the goals for FFC, heading in for his hat-trick late on to make that 5 goals in his first 3 games for the club.
