5. AGM Attendance

5.1 In accordance with para 6.4 of the FCC Constitution, in addition to the existing officers, a minimum of 20 members of the FCC Club Membership is required to ensure that the meeting is quorate; therefore, maximum attendance is requested.

5.2 Of equal importance is the Any Other Business item. The current Club Committee, as I am sure that their replacements will be if they are preferred, aim to ensure that the needs and wishes, as far as possible, of the entire cricket club are met and work diligently and conscientiously to deliver what is required. The Committee can only do this if they are made aware of issues that may be of concern or troubling members, or, alternatively, if there are opportunities or initiatives that are being missed then they need to be informed. If anyone has an issue that they would like to be discussed and considered, please do not hesitate to submit it to me and it will be included as a formal agenda item.

6. Conclusion

6.1 2022 was a hugely successful year for FCC on the field with the 2nd XI Premier Division Championship success and the outstanding performances of the u15’s taking the major and most significant honours. Nevertheless, 2022/23 promises to be a challenging period, both on the field and off it, as we continue to develop our junior cricket at all age levels and establish all 4 senior sides as potential championship premier division winners at their respective levels. As late as mid
Aug 22, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th XI’s all had the opportunity win their respective divisions therefore; 2023 provides the perfect platform to go one step further.

6.2 Once again, I repeat the message that maximum possible attendance is encouraged for the AGM.

6.3 To assist us in achieving this goal, anyone who reads this is urged to pass the message to all of his / her cricket contacts, in whatever format that they use, so that we at least know that we have reached out to as many members as possible.

6.3 As a final note, it goes without saying that not everyone can attend as we all lead busy lives and have prior commitments. Under these circumstances, could I ask that you just send your apologies to me as this does provide an important record.

Many Thanks

Jim Hathaway
