We are pleased to inform you of the successful approval of our full planning application, which we submitted earlier this year.
As you will all be aware these processes do take time and take a lot of energy and manipulation of various moving parts to be able to get the application into place for a viable approval. Club President Peter Grant has been working away behind the scenes on this for some time now, requiring energy and time outwith a rugby environemnt which as volunteers we all know is difficult. We'd like to thank him for his dedication thus far, albeit a big but exciting job ahead of us to bring this project to life.
Mcwilliam Lippe Architects have been extremely helpful our efforts this far and will continue to a source of expertise we will be working with as we move forward. You will be able to see from their facebook page and social media accounts how great the engagement in our project has been, with the wider public being very supportive.
We wouldnt of got the approval needed if it hadnt been for everyones efforts in summiting notes of support during the public consultation period, to which the club thanks everyone of you who wrote such lovely comments of support, outlining our need for the facility and the opportunity this presents to the community.
The next steps will become clear in the coming weeks and we will be in continued communication with you on how you can help, support and get us through the next chapter in this exciting time at Garioch RFC. With a Trustees meeting on Monday Night, we will look to update everyone next week on some fundraising and initial quick steps to get the ball rolling for our new clubhouse.
as always, on behalf of all the Trustees - thank you for being Garioch RFCs biggest advocates and promoting rugby for all in our community! We're excited to see our Club thrive even further
