York Lokos have already beaten North East premier side Catterick Crusaders in a pre-season friendly and will be looking to make Storm their second win against North East opposition.

Storm make a number of changes to the squad that travelled to Catterick to face the Royal Engineers 2 weeks ago.

Forwards Jack Doran, Zach Aidey, Jamie Diggle and Iain Murray all come into the squad to add size and strength to the pack while Fullback Graeme Neighbour and Captain Scott Woods return to the side.

Wingers Dan Mole and Aiden McDermott will both have late fitness tests and Welsh back rower Jack Watkins 50/50 as he recovers from illness.

Head Coach Chris Parker commented “York will be another tough test this weekend. We will have to turn up enthusiastic and willing to ground out a result. We have a few changes to the squad from our last hit out but the lads coming in are more than capable of challenging for a shirt for our season opener against Cramlington next weekend."
