Infotechdirect Ltd is based in Mansfield from where it provides products and services to over 50 schools in the East Midlands. The company chose to sponsor Glapwell FC because it sees several parallels between itself and the Club.
Managing Director of Infotechdirect Ltd, Chris Savage, said before Glapwell FC’s game against Alfreton Town on Saturday 31st July: “As we are based in the East Midlands we wanted to provide support to a local team that works with the local community.
“We were impressed with how Glapwell FC reaches out to the community and especially to young people, which is obviously very important to us.
“We hope to be able to make connections between our work with schools and Glapwell FC’s other activities with young people.”
Kevin Gee, Operations Director at Glapwell Football Club is delighted to have secured the sponsorship of a growing East Midlands company and said: “Infotechdirect has grown rapidly in the three years it has been operating. The secret of their success is effective management and talented team players; which is something we firmly believe in at Glapwell Football Club.
“Like us, our new sponsor is firmly placed at the heart of our community and has plans to be even more successful, which is an ambition we both share.”
Glapwell FC’s first team wore their brand new home shirt with the Infotechdirect Ltd logo on for the first time for the pre-season game against Alfreton Town.
The new strip, which has been designed by International Sportswear Limited and produced to a very high standard by Errea, has been well received by players and staff alike. While the home kit is styled in Glapwell FC’s traditional black and white stripes, the away kit is a new choice of blue and yellow.
