Glapwell travelled to Ollerton Town reserves looking for a bounce back result more than performance after cruelly being beat by Sheffield FC Reserves over the weekend!

Two changes to the line up saw centre back Rob Holland come in for suspended Liam Moore and midfielder Craig Purcell coming in for Ryan Booker.

The game started frantically as within 15 minutes both teams had two good chances to take the lead. Striker Chaz Bradwell narrowly missed the left hand side post with two identical efforts from outside the box. Ollerton in turn had two headers flash wide and over. It looked only a matter of time before one of the teams would open the scoring. However the game did settle, both teams enjoyed spells on the ball but forcing each other to long range efforts. The half time whistle sounded, again both teams having chances but nothing clear cut!

The second half started with a bang when Bradwell had a shot well saved by the Ollerton No.1 only to see the ball land to the feet of Ben COPESTAKE who slotted the ball home!
Midfielder Grant Mitchell forced another the great save as the keeper parried the ball wide! From the resulting corner Bradwell played the series of one to twos with Craig Purcell before playing the ball into the 6 yard box finding centre back Rob HOLLAND who managed to get the ball from under his feet to strike into the back of the net! At 2-0 Manager Dave Turner decided to give Bradwell a rest and bring on Joel Searson! SEARSON came on and scored with his first touch when constant pest Ben Copestake beat his man to pull back for Joel to side foot the ball into the net! 3-0 Glapwell!!
Glapwell had a few more chances with Copestake having one cleared off the line after another great run into the box!
Ritchie Matthew’s was sent to the sin bin for the last 5 minutes of the game for some choice words to the referee leaving Glapwell to play th rest of the game with 10 men.
The game came to an end with Ollerton coming close with an injury time free kick.

Man of the Match - Dan Hamilton - great performance on his return to the starting line up! Hardly gave the ball away and when he did he won it back!
