It seemed as though no one told Golpsie it was the start of their League title defence on Saturday as they turned in an underwhelming performance away to fellow challengers Invergordon FC. Bar a couple changes to the defence, it was an unchanged line up that sent five past Invergordon the previous Saturday.

The solitary goal from Liam Bremner near the end of the first half amounted to no more than a consolation.
