The governing body of petanque, following Government guidelines has called a halt to all organised events and play across the country.
Gathering on the pistes at GRFC, other than to carry out essential repairs and maintenance, even this at an acceptable distance from each other is curtailed until further notice.
Hedge cutting, weeding, decking repairs and general tidying up may prove to be a way of keeping active for those who are not able to socialise.
Those on self or forced isolation must of course take care of themselves and stay safe.
