Port Glasgow AFC 1-3 Greenock HSFP

An eventful day at Parklea that eventually saw us pick up our 6th League victory on the spin. We started the game well and passed up a couple of good opportunities before we fell behind on the 10th minute to a penalty kick. We regrouped well and drew level in the 31st minute when Aidan Coll got his rewards for hunting down what looked like a lost cause got the break of the ball and volleyed home his 5th goal of the season. Early 2nd half we got in front when a cracking defence splitting pass from Chris McGeown set Aidan Coll in behind the defence and he drove in and squared for Andy Swan to finish. On 65 minutes things got a bit more difficult when we were reduced to 10 men when Dylan Norman saw red for a last man tackle on the edge of the area. Again the boys dealt with this well and still looked the more likely to grab the next goal. That goal duly arrived on 84 minutes when a great exchange between Meyer, Watt and Coll saw the later lay Meyer in and he sent a delightful 'Shot over the head of the despairing Port keeper and into the net. As the match entered injury time the Port were also reduced to 10 men when their Centre half picked up a 2nd Yellow.

A really hard fought win today for the boys.
