Gresford Athletic have today completed the signing of Corey Smart from Flint Town United.

The midfielder has previously has spells at Buckley Town, Denbigh Town and Queens Park in his career.

He was one of the best players in the Welsh National League Premier Division whilst at Queens Park during the 2018/19 season, helping the club to win the league.

The 25-year-old signed for Flint Town United in the summer of 2019 and made nine appearances in all competitions, before being loaned to Penycae in October 2019.

He leaves Flint Town United finishing second place in the 2019/20 JD Cymru North and earning promotion to the JD Cymru Premier for the 2020/21 season.

This is the club's second signing of the day ahead of the 2020/21 season, following the announcement of the signing of Barry Torrance from Queens Park earlier this evening.
