Craig Pritchard Signs

Rhys Jones26 Aug 2020 - 11:30

Gresford Athletic have resigned Craig Pritchard

Gresford Athletic have today completed the resigning of Craig Pritchard from Oswestry Town.

The 23-year-old has a good amount of experience in the JD Cymru Leagues in his still relatively short career so far, as well as gaining some experience in leagues outside of Wales.

He has previously under Gresford Athletic first team manager Eddie Maurice-Jones twice in his career, firstly during his first spell at the club and then again at Denbigh Town, where he was a key member of their team that finished second in the then-Huws Gray Alliance.

Before then, he played for Castell Alun Colts and Airbus UK Broughton until he earned a transfer to Cefn Druids in 2015.

He then signed for Gresford Athletic and it was not long until he transferred to Llay Miners Welfare. After one season, he then signed for Denbigh Town, where he stayed for two seasons and then signed for Colwyn Bay. Craig then moved outside of Wales to sign for New Zealand club Melville United and then continued his career into England with Oswestry Town in January 2020.

Gresford Athletic first team manager Eddie Maurice-Jones gave his thoughts on the signing:
"I am delighted that Craig has signed for Gresford Athletic. Craig is a player who is technically gifted, intelligent and has the ability to take this already quality squad to the next level. Having previously worked with Craig at Gresford Athletic and Denbigh Town, where he arguably played his best football, I know exactly what we can all expect. His commitment and worth ethic is a big part of his personality and I am confident he will be a big success."

Craig is the club's seventh signing ahead of 2020/21 season, joining his brother Mike in adding more quality to an already very talented squad.

Welcome back to the club, Craig!
