Gresford Athletic have today completed the resigning of Sam Molyneux from Rhyl.
The forward has previously played for the club before signing for Rhyl.
The 23-year-old started his career at Shrewsbury Town as a youth player before signing for Brickfield Rangers, where he was a consistent goalscorer for the club over a number of seasons.
He signed for Gresford Athletic in the summer of 2018, making 15 appearances in the 2018/19 Huws Gray Alliance, scoring five goals. He then left the club and signed for Rhyl in the 2018/19 January transfer window and enjoyed a successful spell at the club.
Gresford Athletic director of football Steve Halliwell gave his thoughts on the signing:
"We have made another great signing in former player Sam Molyneux. I was gutted to lose him midway through last year, so to be able to get him back and strengthen our squad even further is a brilliant bit of business."
This is the club's third signing of the day ahead of the 2020/21 season and adds another bit of quality to an already impressive strikeforce.
Welcome back to the club, Sam!
