The U11s travelled to Market Rasen for their first taste of competitive festival rugby in the NLD championship.
The pool draw for the blues wasn’t favourable and it pitched them in the hardest division.
Games against Lincoln, Scunthorpe, Spalding Stamford and Boston with a bare team after last minute call offs was never going to be easy for the players!
Although they were unlucky not to win a game the character they showed was a joy to watch!
Their team spirit and warrior tenacity is a credit to them and the club and one which I’m sure will pay dividends with more experience in the future.
I would be unable to name stand out players because everyone gave everything they had and I know there will be 12 very tired and very aching young players come Monday morning – well done guys!

The coaches would like a mention for all the people who had a part in making this festival possible for us to attend and especially all the mums and dads, who gave up their full Sunday to support the players and the club.
We hope you can see the improvement and growth of your child both as a player and a person.
