This month saw a whole lot of weather, and our ladies continued to turn up and train to push forward in developing not only with their skills but gained an understanding of our club’s core values of the game whilst developing some fantastic friendships.
Our players of the month for March have each stood out during training and fitness sessions and week by week we will continue to pass our trophy to the player nominated by the coaches to recognise the players contribution to the team, club, and sport. So, let’s hear it for Abbie, Kerry, Sara, and Imogen! Way to go and keep up the amazing work your putting in.
March also saw the Phoenixes first bus trip to Kingston Park to watch the Red Roses vs Scotland, and a mixed social with our senior men at the club which both had brilliant attendance and brought more laughs.
As a club, we are incredibly excited to work with the team and support them both on and off the pitch. If you are interested in joining the team, please do! The team are very welcoming of anyone aged 17+, any shape, size, or experience. The Phoenixes train on a Monday night from 7pm at Belmangate, just turn up! For non-players, if you want to get behind them as well, they are due to play their first contact game against Acklam women’s team at home on the 16th April and I’m sure they would love to see you down supporting at the club.
