Guis consolidated their league topspot with a clinical display on Whitley bay’s artificial surface playing some outstanding rugby at times.
Admittedly the score line somewhat flattered Guis ( as per Captains Matt Flints after match speech) as WBR were always in the game and played some good rugby.
Supporters general opinion was there was at least 6 player’s up to be considered for the MoM with Matt Rawlinson deservedly edging the decision .
With thanks to WBR committee for hosting pre match hospitality ...a proper Rugby Club!
Next Saturday is the re arranged Game @ 2nd placed Sunderland (ko 2.00pm) hopefully the injuries sustained at WBR will not be a factor for this game which potentially could be crucial for the rest of the season.

As the Man of the Match, Matt Rawlinson's double was duly recognised, while George Speakman's missed kick, gifting Rockliff a try, earned him the DOTD. This resounding win in score line, was closer in performance, however it did secure a bonus point for Guisborough, and was the right tonic on a cold January afternoon.
