Here’s how to find Everdon’s secret cricket ground. You’ll enter Everdon along its High Street. Whichever way you are going down the high street you’ll soon come to a turn with a church and the Plough pub on it. Instead of following the road, turn off and drive past The Plough pub. Keep on this road which quickly becomes a very narrow track with high hedges that is oddly signposted 60 miles an hour. Follow this track till you get to two gates. Pass through the open left gate; the closed one takes you into an allotment. Take the next left which is the opening to the cricket ground.
