With the game being delayed 48 hours, Kewford Central hosted Halas East to get the penultimate match of the season played.

After a promising start to the game Halas deservedly took the lead when a quick throw by Tom G, found Kyle O'C in space, who in turn picked out Jacob in the box, his smart turn a low finish found the bottom corner.

Halas continued to be positive in the first half but couldn't get a deserved second, and they were almost pegged back late on but Simon produced a couple of smart saves to maintain the lead going into the break.

HT - 1-0

The lads had been warned in the HT team talk that shape and teamwork was needed to get the result some of their football had warranted, but the warning wasn't heeded.

For long periods of the second half there were wave after wave of Kewford attacks as the defence was over ran at times, and Kewford scored on the 52nd and 63rd minute.

Good teams start defending from their strikers and work as one unit, something the lads had done in recent weeks, but this wasn't on show tonight.

Further goals followed on 73, 75 and 77 minutes as Kewford ran out easy winners.
