NCEL Premier Division champions Cleethorpes Town provide current NCEL First Division champions Hall Road Rangers their final test prior to the start of the new season.
Results and performances have proved encouraging for Rangers as they have conceded just once in their six friendlies so far.
Not since Szymon Czubik's 8th minute strike for Goole, has Rangers defence been breached and some 532 minutes have now passed.
Dave Ricardo's side travel to a strong Cleethorpes side who are fresh off their own remarkable campaign last season.
'The Owls' reached the FA Vase final at Wembley Stadium and also clinched the NCEL Premier Division at a canter, fending off the much fancied Pickering Town and Handsworth Parramore whilst also holding off a charge from Curtis Woodhouse's, Bridlington Town.
Their pre-season campaign has also seen goals.
Their own pre-season campaign has so far seen them see off Rangers fellow NCEL Premier Division side Staveley MW in their last outing 4-2.
This coming seven days after sharing the spoils in a six-goal thriller with Barton Town Old Boys.
Impressive wins over Bottesford Town and North Ferriby have also seen them show good form going into their new season which starts on August 12.
Three days seperate Rangers final pre-season match from their season opener at AFC Mansfield in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Rangers boss Dave Ricardo will therefore give his squad a chance to stake their place for that tie in this friendly.
Although results are secondary at this stage Hall Road have defeated higher ranked opposition in North Ferriby and Goole, whilst last week saw them visit tonight's venue when they drew 0-0 with Grimsby Borough.
This so far been Hall Road's only blotch on an impressive run of games
Ricardo was also full of praise for the work put in during a successful pre-season and he said the following earlier this week:
“We have played some really interesting games which have tested us mentally and physically as well as training two or three times a week depending on when we have had games.
Both the players and coaches have worked really hard this pre season.”
