As expected the club and the player have received a number of offers from clubs within the non league pyramid and were delighted that Kieran has opted to stay for at least another year with Mick Godber’s squad ahead of our forthcoming NCEL Premier Division campaign.
The 23 year old striker shared an incredible 80 goal partnership with Club Captain Jon Froggatt last season, with both strikers hitting the 40 goal mark.
Chairman Pete Whitehead said of Wells' decision to stay " I'm delighted that Kieran has pledged his immediate future to the club and I look forward to watching him playing and SCORING in Amber and Black again next season.... "
Kieran said of busy close season period " Its been a turbulent few weeks and I'm so pleased that I'm here at Handsworth for at least another year where I'll be looking at developing my game further , working hard and raising my personal bar, This club is 2nd to none in how it operates from the Chairman down, its so welcoming and professionally run and the gaffer (Mick Godber) has been great with me and it's the perfect place for me to push on with my game and I cant wait for pre-season to start with Mick, Wardy & the lads, by the time August 6th comes we'll be back challenging and ready for a big NCEL season"

Mick Godber’s squad start their pre season on the 23rd June, with our 1st friendly at Sandy Lane vs Worksop Town on Tuesday 12th July (19:45).
