RHEEDERS played for Coventry for four seasons with two as Captain and made 75 appearances and scored 13 tries, before leaving in 2008 to play for Jersey RFC. He has had Currie Cup and Super 12 rugby experience between 1995 and 2003 playing for the Bulls at U 21 and 7’s and Easteer Province before turning professional with the Cheetahs and the Pumas, for whom he played 85 matches. He is not unknown at Harbury as he gave a couple of forward master classes at the Club four years ago. An event that is well remembered by many of the players present. He has links with Warwick University gym and sports hall for winter training. He also has a working relationship with Leeds Carnegie So he can arrange some guest/specialist coaching sessions during the season.

`This is a major step forward for Harbury RFC and Hendry was an inspirational leader at Coventry and a fans favourite during his four years there. He is bringing bags of enthusiasm and first class experience and we are really looking forward to working with him, We have gained 3 promotions in seven seasons and are hoping for more’

I really think we are on the brink of achieving something special here at Harbury, there has been a lot of hard work done to get us where we are today but it is down to us players to push on now and take things forward. Hendry’s appointment can only help and develop the talent that exists within the Club
