Our visit to Fullerians on Sunday was a real test for the U11 squad, a healthy turn out of 15 meant we could play one team and rotate subs.
The first game against Fullerians was not one that the lads will want to remember - and showed yet again how it is really important for them to turn up and be ready to have their rugby heads on right from the start!! Unfortunately too many of them were not reacting quick enough I the game that was coming toward them!
At the end of the game, a rather robust coaching input managed to revitalise the team!
Playing the other Fullerians team started much better. It was great to see the boys playing as a team again. There was much more attention to reacting early in the ruck and hitting more tackles with commitment. This led to a more even match - a draw which felt like a victory after the first game!
Plenty more work to do when we are away to Ruislip next week!
