I've neglected to add a report for a few weeks now so this will be more of a summary!
The away games and visits from other teams have again put our lads through their paces, but unlike the weeks before Christmas, have shown the players to be more competitive.
A coaching focus has continued to be the breakdown - getting the players to get in to the ruck quickly and safely. We are definitely making progress here, the addition of 'rucker of he week' no doubt helping! The next development in this area needs to be the speed and power at which the players get in to position. Other areas of focus have been to get the players running on to the ball as they receive a pass and the never ending focus on getting the tackles in low!!. This has had a dramatic impact on the ground made when attacking and obviously makes it much harder for the opposition to tackle.
We are looking forward to the Middlesex Festival as the U10's are really excited about playing and pitting their wits against some stiff competition!
