Harrow and Finchley shared the spoils on a fine autumn day in north London
Harrow approached the match with some trepidation having been soundly beaten in this fixture last year. This was brought into sharper focus when it became clear that was not the expected fixture against Finchley B, as Finchley's A and B teams had merged since last year.
But Harrow were keen to carry on the good work of last week, and indeed they started well and opened the scoring with a try from Adam.
Finchley threatened often, moving the ball down the line with some panache, but Harrow's defence held tight for much of the first half. Finchley eventually managed to get on the scoreboard and the teams went in to half time at one try apiece.
Both squads were fairly tight in number, and with the Finchley coach and the referee keen on playing with rolling substitutions, Harrow agreed to play a 12 aside game with no number 8 in the scrum.
The second half began with more pressure from Finchley but Harrow defended well then a remarkable break from near their own try line led to a score for Vinny.
When Kyle went over to complete another fine move, Harrow looked strong at 3-1, but unfortunately a few defensive mistakes crept in and Finchley pulled one back.
A typically bullish run from Connor looked to have put Harrow two clear again but under pressure he couldn't quite ground the ball when stretching for the line.
Finchley then had a breakaway try of their own to round off the scoring and the game finished 3-3, a fair reflection of a competitive game, though Harrow will be the more disappointed having not managed to hold on to a lead.
For the first time this week, the parents chose a player of the week, and it went to Kyle for some great runs and also good defensive work.
The coaches' player of the week award went to Ryan, who had a great all-round game! Ryan is still relatively new to the team and this week he showed how much progress he's made, getting involved all over the pitch, both with and without the ball.
Overall Harrow should be very pleased with their efforts. Finchley are a well-run outfit and a draw is a fine result which demonstrates the good progress being made by the squad.
